E&O Insurance Policy CGL Insurance Policy
Please read your policies carefully and if you have any questions please contact the insurance broker at LMS Prolink (www.insuranceworks.ca), as the BCAK office staff are not licensed insurance brokers and are not permitted to answer questions on insurance coverage.
Practicing & Non-Practicing Members indicate at the time of membership application or renewal whether they wish to participate in the BCAK/CKA group insurance policy.
The 2010 Annual Premiums for the BCAK/CKA E&O insurance policy are $79 for $2m and $147 for $5m coverage. All premiums are minimum and retained and no refunds or pro-rated fees are available, as per the Insurance provider.
All premiums for the E&O must be paid in full prior to the provision of the policy. If payment for the policy is declined for any reason, the member must contact the B.C.A.K. as soon as they have knowledge of the NSF payment to make immediate arrangements for repayment, including any NSF fees, or the policy will be cancelled by written notification for non-payment and will not be reinstated.
It is recommended that all members review their risk exposures and insurance needs with a licensed Insurance broker to ensure that they are able to make informed decisions on the various types of coverage available and what is appropriate for their specific business needs.
Practicing & Non-Practicing Members with accepted non BCAK/CKA E&O insurance are not eligible to purchase the BCAK/CKA CGL policy.
There is no formal application process and member information provided at the time of application or renewal is sufficient to issue the policy
Submit "All" the names of those who are to be added as ‘Additional Named Insured’ at one time, by e-mail or in an MS Word attachment to an e-mail, to the BCAK office at: office@bcak.bc.ca.
